PESHAWAR: Hazara Division claimed the trophy of the Inter-Divisional Women’s Lacrosse Championship. Mardan Division secured second position, while Dera Ismail Khan’s women’s team took third place. Chief guest at the closing ceremony Syed Salar Jahan, President the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Lacrosse Association, distributed cash prizes, trophies, and souvenirs among the players.

Organized by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Lacrosse Association, the championship was held alongside a High-Performance Training Camp in Salatanr and Gabin Jabba, Swat, in which 40 female players from 7 divisions of the province participated. Miss Fiza was declared the best player of the tournament, having delivered an outstanding performance by scoring 7 goals.

International medalists Miss Momina Tariq and Miss Gul Pari were awarded Best Coach honors During the High-Performance Camp, the female athletes completed a 48-kilometer hiking expedition across Salatanr and Gabin Jabba without any security protocol, demonstrating not only their physical strength and endurance, but also projecting a peaceful image of Swat and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to the world.

The camp was designed to enhance the players’ strength, agility, speed, and footwork to help them excel in the sport of lacrosse. Miss Muqaddas Tariq served as the Head Official, while Mr. Taifoor Zarin served as the Head Coach, playing a significant role in promoting lacrosse in Pakistan. This event stands as a strong symbol of women empowerment, the promotion of a positive social message, and the growing global presence of lacrosse in Pakistan.
