PESHAWAR: The three-day All Pakistan Full Contact Karate Training Camp Kalam 2026 concluded successfully at the scenic Mahodand Lake in Kalam, Swat. The camp was organized by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Full Contact Karate Association in collaboration with the Directorate of Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Crown Micro Global, and Alkhidmat Foundation.
The training camp was led by internationally certified karate referee and Branch Chief WKO Shinkyokushinkai Pakistan, Shihan Sahibzada Al-Hadi, with Shihan Khalil-ur-Rehman (Karachi) serving as senior instructor. The coaching panel also included Sensei Khurshid Shabab (Charsadda), Sensei Faizan Manzoor (Lahore), Sensei Shams-ul-Arifeen (Peshawar), Sensei Ikramullah (Swat), Sensei Inayatullah Khan (Peshawar), and Anas Alam (Charsadda).
The opening session was held on July 25 at the picturesque Mahodand Lake, where male and female athletes, along with young karate practitioners, actively participated. Participants received intensive training in modern full contact karate techniques, updated competition rules, and technical skills. The breathtaking mountain surroundings, cool weather, and light rain provided an inspiring atmosphere for outdoor practical sessions.
Due to heavy rainfall on July 26, the second phase of the camp was shifted to Hotel River Green, Kalam, where participants underwent advanced indoor training focusing on modern combat techniques, discipline, international competition regulations, and professional conduct to prepare them for future national and international events.
The closing ceremony was attended by Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Kalam Shahid Shamsheer as the chief guest. He distributed medals, prizes, and certificates among outstanding participants and appreciated the organizers for promoting healthy sporting activities among the youth, describing such initiatives as vital for the development of society.
On the occasion, Chief Organizer Shihan Sahibzada Al-Hadi expressed gratitude to Dr. Hazratullah Khattak, representative of the Directorate General of Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Crown Micro Global, and Fazal Mehmood, President of Alkhidmat Foundation KP North, for their valuable support, patronage, and hospitality. He expressed hope that such collaborative efforts would continue to strengthen youth development and the promotion of full contact karate across Pakistan.
The camp significantly enhanced the technical abilities of the participating athletes while fostering unity, friendship, and sportsmanship among players, coaches, and officials representing different regions of the country.
