PESHAWAR: The Inter-Madaris Sports Festival organized by the Directorate of Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has officially begun in Peshawar, with eight madrasa teams competing in cricket and football events.

The festival was formally inaugurated by Director Hayatabad Sports Complex Saleem Raza. Also present on the occasion were Director Sports Operations Jamshed Baloch, Organizing Secretary Mufti Faiz, Deputy Director Kashif Farhan, DSO Faisal Javed, Administrator Yousaf Afridi, Irshad Khan, and other distinguished personalities.
Football matches are being held at Tahmas Football Stadium, while cricket matches are taking place at Gymkhana Cricket Stadium. Four madrasa teams are participating in each sport.
Players have been provided with kits, daily allowances, and other facilities. Mufti Faiz is serving as the Organizing Secretary of the festival.
The closing ceremony will be held at Tahmas Football Stadium, where Director General Sports Tashfeen Haider will attend as the chief guest and distribute trophies and other prizes among the players.
