CHITRAL: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Sunday announced that the Governor Polo Cup would be organized in Chitral this year. He said this while attending the polo semi-final match as chief guest during his visit to the district. The Governor also said he would talk to Chief Minister Sohail Afridi regarding the revival of the Chief Minister Polo Cup. The announcement was welcomed by local polo enthusiasts and sports lovers. Governor Faisal Karim Kundi announced cash prizes of Rs100,000 each for the winning teams and Rs50,000 each for the runner-up teams. Earlier, the Governor arrived in Chitral where he was warmly received by government officials, local elders and residents at Chitral Airport. Upon his arrival, he was presented with the traditional Chitrali cap and cloak as part of the local welcome ceremony. During the visit, Governor Faisal Karim Kundi was also briefed on security and other arrangements regarding the expected arrival of Prince Rahim Aga Khan in Chitral.
