PESHAWAR: Pakistan’s young athlete Masood Khan has set a new world record by completing a non-stop run of more than 800 kilometers from Peshawar to Skardu.

Masood Khan successfully covered the difficult and mountainous route from Peshawar to Skardu without taking a break, making it a unique achievement of its kind. During the journey, he ran through the dangerous roads of the Karakoram Highway, alongside the scenic Indus River and across the beautiful valleys of Gilgit-Baltistan.
Speaking after completing the challenge, Masood Khan said he covered the 810-kilometer distance in just nine days. He added that although continuous running made the journey extremely difficult and exhausting, he remained determined to complete the mission for Pakistan and its people.
“Today, Pakistan’s name has been highlighted across the world. Achieving the 800-kilometer target is a matter of pride not only for me but for the entire nation,” he said.
Masood Khan has previously represented Pakistan in competitions alongside athletes from countries including Russia, Japan and China, winning several medals.
Sports experts say this remarkable achievement reflects the talent and determination of Pakistani youth and will help promote a positive image of Pakistan at the international level.
