PESHAWAR: The four-day Sports Festival for orphaned and underprivileged children, organized by the Directorate General of Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at Zmung Kor Peshawar, concluded with great enthusiasm and splendor. Orphaned and destitute children from various districts of the province actively participated in sports and recreational activities and enjoyed the festival to the fullest. Happiness and smiles were clearly visible on their faces.

The closing ceremony was held yesterday at the Model Institute for State Children, Zmung Kor Peshawar. The special guest was Secretary Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Muhammad Asif Khan, who distributed trophies and cash prizes among the children. On this occasion, DG Sports Tashfeen Haider, Director Zmung Kor Sadaqatullah, Director Operations Jamshed Baloch, Chief Coach Shafqatullah, and other dignitaries were also present.

During the colorful closing ceremony, cultural and traditional dances from all four provinces of the country, along with other entertaining performances, were presented, which were highly appreciated by the audience.
Addressing the ceremony, Secretary Sports Muhammad Asif Khan said that full support would continue to be provided to further polish and promote the talents of children who showed outstanding performance. He also announced the establishment of a synthetic court at Zmung Kor Peshawar.

He announced prize money of Rs. 50,000 for winners, Rs. 40,000 for runners-up, and Rs. 30,000 for teams securing third position. He added that sports events for state children would continue in the future and would be given special attention.

The successful conclusion of the festival reflects the commitment of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sports Department to promote sports and healthy activities among orphaned and underprivileged children, helping them build confidence and discover their talents.
