PESHAWAR: A sports development project was formally inaugurated at Government Hasnain Sharif Shaheed Higher Secondary School No.1 Peshawar, thanks to the special efforts of Provincial Minister for Local Government and Higher Education, Meena Khan Afridi, who attended the ceremony as the chief guest.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Regional Sports Officer Peshawar Kashif Farhan, Project Director Arbab Faiz, Engineer Hazrat Ali, along with local office-bearers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, NCVC chairmen, and a large number of workers.
On this occasion, Regional Sports Officer Kashif Farhan briefed the attendees about the project, stating that its primary objective is to provide modern and quality sports facilities to youth, encouraging them towards positive and healthy activities.
Addressing the ceremony, Provincial Minister Meena Khan Afridi emphasized the timely completion of the project and issued necessary instructions to the concerned authorities. He stated that the project would benefit not only the students of the institution but also the general public.
Under the project, the ground will be available for students during morning hours, while in the evening it will be open to the general public, promoting sports activities in the area.
The development project includes a football and futsal ground, a cricket academy, a basketball court, badminton and squash courts, along with a boundary wall and other modern sports facilities.
