The first match of the One Day International series between Pakistan and West Indies is being played in Trinidad today. The three matches series between the two teams are very important for West Indies because if West Indies win3-0, they will be at 9th place in the rankings. And they will qualify for the 2027 Cricket World Cup. The top 10 teams have to go directly and the rest of the teams have to play the qualifiers. For Pakistan, this series will not have any impact on the 2027 World Cup because Pakistan is fourth in the world rankings.

So far, 137 One Day International matches have been played between Pakistan and West Indies. Pakistan has won 63 matches while West Indies won 71.
