PESHAWAR: The All KP Special Persons Sports Tournament, held under the auspices of the Department of Sports, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at Kohat Sports Complex, concluded successfully. The tournament saw participation from athletes with different disabilities and short stature from across the province, showcasing their exceptional talents in various sports events.
Athletes from Friends of Paraplegics (FoP) put up an outstanding performance, securing top positions in multiple events and bringing pride to their institution. Amjad and Kafayat secured first position while Razak Allah and Rahmat Allah took second place in Wheelchair Badminton (Team Game).
Smilarly FoP athletes clinched first place in Wheelchair Tennis singles and doubles. Muhammad Dost’s team took first place, while Aurangzeb’s secured second place in Boshay Game. Abdullah Jan secured first position in Table Tennis singles while Mushtaq’s team emerged victorious in Basketball.
They appreciated the outstanding efforts of Engr Irfanullah, Ehsan Danish and Sanaullah with special shields from the Directorate of Sports, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Friends of Paraplegics felicitated all participating athletes, coaches and organizers, reaffirming their commitment to providing more opportunities for persons with disabilities in sports and positive activities.
Dr. Syed Muhammad Ilyas, CEO of Paraplegic Centre Peshawar, also congratulated FoP athletes on their remarkable performance and announced a special ceremony to honor their achievements.
