KARACHI: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa women’s rugby team delivered a commanding performance to secure their place in the semi-finals of the ongoing rugby event at the 35th National Games in Karachi. Held in Nazimabad under the supervision of the Pakistan Rugby Federation, the highly competitive women’s event witnessed KP’s athletes outclass the Islamabad team with remarkable confidence and skill. From the very beginning, KP’s players showcased an impressive blend of technique, speed, and strong defensive coordination, leaving the opposition with little room to recover at any stage of the match. Their relentless pressure and disciplined gameplay ensured a decisive victory that reflected both their preparation and determination. Following the outstanding win, Secretary of the KP Rugby Association Muhammad Umair, Team Manager Muhammad Hamza Tariq, Coach Jameel Shah, and Assistant Coach Osama Saif expressed immense satisfaction. They praised the players for putting on a performance that brought pride to the province and expressed hope that the team would carry the same energy and fighting spirit into the semi-finals. The crucial match also saw the presence of KP Sports Department’s Director General, Tashfeen Haider, and RSO Peshawar, Kashif Farhan.
