KARACHI: The Sindh Olympic Association has announced the detailed schedule of the 35th National Games 2025. Karachi (Kashif Ahmed Farooqi) The 35th National Games 2025 will be hosted by the Government of Sindh and the Sindh Olympic Association from December 6 to 13, 2025 in Karachi. More than 11,000 players and officials from all provinces across the country will participate in this mega event in 33 different sports, which will be a new record in the history of national sports. All arrangements have been completed to welcome all these players and officials. According to the released schedule, 4,663 registered athletes, including 2,566 men and 2,097 women, will showcase their skills in competitions lasting 8 days and 7 nights. The arrival of teams from provinces and departments will begin from December 4, while the managers’ meeting will be held on December 6. The competitions will also start from December 4 and the players will start returning after the closing ceremony on December 13. According to the schedule, archery competitions will be held at Dow University Karachi, athletics at NPTSC Karsaz, badminton at Sindh Sports Board Nazimabad, baseball at NED University and basketball at Habib Public School Sultanabad. Bodybuilding at Ibrahim Joy Hall, boxing at People’s Sports Complex Lyari, fencing at Iqra University Defence View, football at KPT Sports Complex, golf at DHA Golf Club and gymnastics at Government College of Physical Education Karachi University Road, while handball competitions are scheduled at IBA University. Hockey will be held at HA Hockey Ground, Judo at Sindh Youth Club Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Kabaddi at Naya Nazimabad, Karate and Netball at National Sports Training and Coaching Centre, Rowing at Karachi Boat Club, Rugby Sevens at National Sports Training and Coaching Centre, Shooting and Sailing at PN Aquatic Club Korangi, Softball at KMC Sports Complex. Squash at National Sports Training and Coaching Centre, Swimming at KMC Complex, Table Tennis at Majeed Khan Indoor Gymnasium Islamia Club Soldier Bazaar, Taekwondo at Muhammad Siddique Memon Scouts Hall Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Tennis at Naya Nazimabad, Tug of War at PSB Centre, Volleyball at KPT Sports Complex Lyari and Wrestling at Scouts Auditorium near YMCA Karachi, while men’s wrestling will be held at Pakistan Sports Board Centre and Wushu competitions at KMC Complex. Highways, places and important buildings across Karachi have been decorated with banners and the administration has completed extensive arrangements for all competitions so that this event can be held on time and in the best possible manner. The opening ceremony will be held on December 6 at the National Stadium Karachi, in which President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari will be the chief guest, while the Prime Minister of Pakistan will attend the closing ceremony. On this occasion, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah, Minister for Sports Sindh Sardar Muhammad Bakhsh Mehar, Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi, President Pakistan Olympic Association Arif Saeed, Secretary General Khalid Mahmood, Secretary General Sindh Olympic Ahmed Ali Rajput, Asghar Baloch and other important personalities will also be present. The country’s famous singer Hadiqa Kayani and other artists will perform their art in the opening ceremony.
