PESHAWAR: The Directorate General of Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has unveiled the list of potential players who are expected to participate in the much-anticipated charity cricket match titled “Sports for Service” for the rehabilitation of flood-affected people. The friendly fixture will be played between Peshawar Zalmi and Legends XI on Saturday, August 30, at Imran Khan Cricket Stadium, Peshawar. According to details shared by Director Sports Operations Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Jamshed Baloch, a total of 29 cricketers are likely to take part in the match. The star-studded lineup includes former national team captains Shahid Afridi, Younis Khan, Azhar Mahmood, as well as renowned players like Wahab Riaz, Mohammad Hafeez, Kamran Akmal, Babar Azam, Sohaib Maqsood, Yasir Shah, Umaid Asif, Maaz Sadaqat, Salman Khan, Salman, Israrullah, Azhar Ali, Imran Farhat, Humayun Farhat, Ihsanullah, Imran Senior, Nazar Ahmed, Azmat Burki, Waqar Ahmed, Moazzam Khan, Abbas Ali, Usman Chattha, Sajjad Ibrahim, Sadiq Afridi, Abdul Rauf and Mohammad Haroon. Baloch further informed that a comprehensive entry plan for spectators has been finalized. General ticket holders will be able to access the stadium through the three gates designated on the Faqirabad side, while women and families will be facilitated through the Gymkhana Cricket Ground gate.
