PESHAWAR: Minister for Sports & Youth Affairs Syed Fakhar Jehan Tuesday said that the youth are the real assists for developing country at his international fora in his message on the world youth day he said. On the occasion of International Youth Day 2025, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Sports & Youth Affairs, Syed Fakhar Jehan, in his special message, said that as the world observes this day under the theme “Youth Action for the SDGs and Beyond,” he wishes to tell the youth of the province that they are its pride, strength, and power. “You are not merely the leaders of tomorrow,you are the true torchbearers of change today,” he said.
The Minister stated that, under the vision of a self-reliant youth as envisioned by Patron-in-Chief and Founding Chairman Imran Khan, and in line with the public agenda of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, the provincial government stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the youth at every step of their journey, providing all possible support and facilitation.
He remarked that he has witnessed the courage, creativity, and determination of young people in classrooms, on sports fields and in entrepreneurial ventures. “Our youth have proven that dreams are not to be postponed,they are to be pursued with passion and purpose.Our mission is to nurture self-reliant youth, individuals who are independent, confident, and empowered,” he added.
Highlighting ongoing initiatives, the Minister said that projects such as Jawan Marakiz, Skills & Modern Technology Hubs and the flagship Ehsaas Naujawan Programme worth Rs. 5 billion are equipping young people with the resources and facilities to turn their ideas into reality. Thousands of youth have already transformed their concepts into successful enterprises, proving that self-reliance is not a dream but a deliberate choice.
Syed Fakhar Jehan underscored that global goals can only materialize when they are implemented locally, and every young person holds the potential to drive change and shape the nation’s future through their actions.
Addressing the youth, he urged that “Dream bigger, work harder and move forward with honesty. Do not wait for the future, let us build it together.” Concluding his message, the Minister prayed for the youth’s success, saying, “May Allah bless our youth and guide their steps along the righteous path.”
