Decision to participate fully in Youth Games, National Games

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Olympic Association has decided to participate fully in the National Games, including the first Youth Games. An important meeting of the Executive Committee of the Islamabad Olympic Association was held under the chairmanship of Begum Ishrat Ashraf, in which Secretary General Rizwan-ul-Haq Razi and other members of the Executive Committee participated. The meeting discussed in detail the formal status of sports organizations affiliated with the Islamabad Olympic and making their role effective, while the issue of registration of other sports associations affiliated with the Islamabad Olympic Association with the Islamabad Sports Board was reviewed so that the status of the central sports organization in the federal capital can be formalized. The meeting discussed strategies related to the selection of strong teams, training and other arrangements, including the first National Youth Games to be held in Islamabad and the full participation of Islamabad in the National Games to be played in Karachi. On this occasion, President Begum Ishrat Ashraf said that joint efforts are necessary to give Islamabad a prominent place in the field of national sports. She also assured to provide all possible facilities to the players and officials.
