
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Areeb Khan, Fahad Majeed, Army’s Fatima Danish and Sindh’s Sara won the trophy

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Areeb Khan won the All Pakistan Table Tennis Master Cup trophy, defeating Sindh’s Arham in the final after a thrilling match by three to two. Fahad Majeed in the Under-12 Boys category, Pakistan Army’s Fatima Danish in the Under-15 Girls category and Sara Danish in the Under-12 Girls event won the first position.
On this occasion, the special guest, Chief Executive Officer, Ruwait Foods Asghar Syed, distributed prizes among the winning players. He was accompanied by Additional Secretary P&D Taufiq Ahmed, Senior Vice President Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Table Tennis Association Kifayatullah, Provincial Secretary Ahmed Nawaz Alizai, Head Coach of the HOPE Program Absar Ali, Assistant Coach Iqra Rehman, Amna and other important personalities.
The All Pakistan Under-12 and Under-15 Master Table Tennis Cup competitions under the HOPE Program under the auspices of the Pakistan Table Tennis Federation concluded at the Peshawar Sports Complex. Teams from provinces and departments from all over Pakistan participated in the PTTF HOPE Program organized by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Table Tennis Association and Pakistan Table Tennis Federation in collaboration with the Directorate General Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
In the boys’ under-12 category, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Fahad Majeed defeated Punjab’s Ibrahim 11-8 and 11-8, while in the under-15 category, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Areeb Khan defeated Sindh’s Arham 3-2 to win the trophy. The score was 11-9, 8-11, 11-8, 9-11, and 11-7. In the under-15 girls category, Pakistan Army’s Fatima Danish defeated Sindh’s Khuria Yasin 3-2 with the score being 11-8, 10-12, 11-9, 9-11, and 11-9. In the under-12 girls category, Sindh’s Sara Danish defeated Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Adina Ahmeem 11-8 and 11-9.
In the first phase of the HOPE program, the players were trained for three days under the supervision of qualified coaches, while in the second phase, matches were held between them. The winning players in the Under-12 category will represent Pakistan in the Asian Hope Program.
