
Elections for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Alpine Association Conclude

For the first time in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, elections for the Alpine Association were held during the General Council meeting at Ahmad Medical Institute, Peshawar. The election was supervised by Faisal Javed from the Directorate of Sports, who participated as the Election Commissioner.
The General Council unanimously elected the new cabinet for a four-year term. Malik Hayat Afridi was elected as President, Syed Jafar Shah as Senior Vice President, Colonel Fida Khattak and Zahid Habib as Vice Presidents, and Saba Gul was elected as the Women Vice President. Najeebullah Khattak was chosen as General Secretary, with Rahim Khan as Joint Secretary, Maqsood Ali Shah as Finance Secretary, and Ahmed Khattak as Press Secretary.
The Executive Members elected include: Mubashir Farhan, Wajahat, Bilal Afridi, Rania Khan, Nadir Sial, Atar Qureshi, and Sakhal.
The newly formed cabinet has pledged to actively promote sports climbing, mountaineering, trekking, and hiking in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and to engage the youth in these adventure sports.
